The English Concert: Burnett’s Grand Tour

The eighteenth-century grand tour made by music historian Charles Burney is the inspiration for a recital by The English Concert directed by harpsichordist Harry Bicket, with tenor Mark Padmore and violinist Nadja Zwiener. Together they perform instrumental pieces and songs by Biber, Dowland, Purcell, Charpentier and Handel in this exquisite and intimate venue.
