Originally formed by Edgar Froese in Berlin in 1967, Tangerine Dream are a space-age institution who have moved over the course of almost 50 years from krautrock to prog to ambient electronics and back. They're one of the few bands to rival Kraftwerk when it comes to influence on contemporary electronic music, and they're here tonight to play their classic 1974 album 'Phaedra', an album which, according to Paul Morley, rendered the guitar obsolete. This show is part of what is officially Tangerine Dream's last ever full tour.
