The acclaimed Afro, disco, funk and soul imprint embarks on the first of a series of one-off London parties this month – a Sunday session on a 1930s Dutch barge. Crucially, it's the label's first club night for more than eight years – their shindigs at Electrowerkz in the late '90s with the likes of Grandmaster Flash and Ashley Beedle were legendary – so expect a particularly jubilant atmosphere and one of the best selections this weekend. Especially as label compiler and African funk obsessive Duncan Brooker, soul survivor Toni Rossano, acid jazz and Afro-soul enthusiast Christine Indigo and DJ History's disco don Bill Brewster are at the controls aboard this merry vessel tonight. Don't miss!
