Steve Grossman/Damon Brown Quintet

One time Miles Davis sideman, tenorist Grossman had the daunting prospect of filling Wayne Shorter's sizable shoes at the tender age of 19, he's since worked with the cream of the jazz crop including Lonnie Smith, Elvin Jones McCoy Tyner and Michel Petrucianni. Playing in wonderfully robust, hard bopping style his biting sax work is aided by talented UK trumpeter Brown and his quintet.
