Tracey's quirky, percussive piano style and his off-kilter compositions owe much to Thelonius Monk, and they are always compelling live. He's a rarity in British jazz, being one of the few instantly recognisable voices on the circuit, not to mention one of the country's all-time greatest jazz band leaders. One to savour.
