Legendary octogenarian saxophonist Rollins is the last surviving hero of hard bop and is still in fine shape, with daily yoga sessions maintaining his garrulous improvisational style, characteristic throaty buzz and his seemingly effortless ability to traverse the entire range of the tenor sax. He's always had a deep affection for London – playing at the original Ronnie Scott's club in the 1960s. Dipping into favourite standards and originals he'll be with his usual band, exploring calypso, swing, funk and Latin grooves.
