SONGLINES ENCOUNTERS FESTIVAL: Paprika + She'Koyokh + Yurodny

Balkan triple bill culminating in a 20-strong collaboration to kick of Songlines magazine's eye and ear-opening annual Encounters Festival. In the headline slot, Paprika are a fiery young gypsy outfit fond of odd rhythms and unpredictable solos. Plus violinist Bogdan Vacarescu, a Magyar from the former Yugoslavia, leading his band through jazz, gypsy, classical and folk styles with explosive energy and stunning virtuosity, and sax-led, gypsy violin-fuelled ensemble Yurodny.
