Steve Albini, the legendary and famously prickly producer (though he prefers 'engineer') of albums for Nirvana, Pixies and The Jesus Lizard, brings his alt rock supergroup with Bob Weston and Todd Trainer to the UK. Channeling the same unrighteous misanthropy as Albini's first band Big Black, and adding complex but groovy chugging and harsh bursts of pure metallic noise, Shellac are famous for their total ideological commitment, their wickedly sarcastic sense of humour and their extreme volume. Seriously, this'll be a bit loud.
