Quentin Collins/Brandon Allen Quartet

Fine young trumpeter Collins puts his flashy, bravura Freddie Hubbard/Lee Morgan-style to good use here alongside fulsome-toned Aussie tenorist Allen as they lock horns to create an emphatically Blue Note-styled sound. Here performing tunes from their new album, 'What's it Gonna Be?', the cool retro sounds gain extra authenticity via the Hammond organ of Ross Stanley and fine drumming of Enzo Zirilli.
