William Holland is Quantic, the maverick ’70s-jazz-funk wonderkid best known as the linchpin of acclaimed funketeers, Quantic Soul Orchestra. Here, however, the artist – who's been living in Columbia, where he recorded his last (fourteenth) album 'Dog With a Rope' with the Flowering Inferno – shows off his latest talents with fine-voiced, intense UK soulstress Russell and the Barbaro. Expect rootsily authentic and tropicalia-splashed feel-good fare from the first note.
