Philharmonia Orchestra: Mahler

Mahler’s mighty Eighth Symphony (‘Symphony of a Thousand’) is scored for massive orchestra and chorus, plus soloists. Taking up the challenge is the Philharmonia Orchestra and Philharmonia Voices/Tiffin Boys’ Choir and Rodolfus Choir under Esa-Pekka Salonen, with soloists including Lucy Crowe and Robert Dean Smith.
