French singer Kaas interprets the songs of Édith Piaf in a show entitled 'Kaas chante Piaf', returning to London after a night at the Royal Albert Hall last year. Kaas, whose voice is harder than Piaf's but just as throaty, and the evening also features dramatic costumes, projected footage and rare images of The Little Sparrow, plus choreography and some theatrical touches. Inevitably, though, the songs – 21 of them, arranged by Polish composer Abel Korzeniowski – are at the centre of things.
