US boy band O-Town were formed for music-based reality TV show 'Making The Band'. That should tell you pretty much everything you need to know. Their music is as chart-focused, poppy and saccharine as you'd expect (with just a hint of R&B added in), which should delight a certain type of young fan. Personally, we prefer Funky Town, but each to their own.
