ECM veteran Winstone's one of the UK's leading vocalists – a subtle, contemporary performer who has worked through the freer end of the music and now treats the standards with a rare musicality. She's joined here by fellow chanteuse May, and cabaret singer Lee, all paying tribute to the music of saxophonist/composer Lamont as he celebrates his 80th birthday. Revered UK trumpeter and fellow octogenarian Wheeler also appears.
