Time Out says

Mozart cemented his reputation as one of history's greatest child prodigies with this full-length opera, which premiered when he was only 14 years old. 'Mitridate, re di Ponto' is a challenging, emotive work with a libretto that's based on a Racine play. This 1991 Royal Opera House production by Graham Vicks mixes 18th century Baroque elegance with Asian-inspired stagecraft. The cast of this revival includes Albina Shagimuratova, Bejun Mehta, Lucy Crowe and Michael Spyres. Christophe Rousset conducts.
