James Newell Osterberg is reunited with the Stooges line-up that made 1973's career-defining 'Raw Power' record, but with Minuteman Mike Watt filling in for the sadly deceased Ron Asheton. There'll be some material from their patchy new album 'Ready to Die', but don't worry – they still love playing classics from their original 1967-74 run. Expect intense, foam-flecked fury and impressive displays of energy and sexual loucheness from the sinewy king of garage punk, now pushing 70 but still prone to lose his shirt by the set's second song. In support are one of London's brightest hopes for the future of rock 'n' roll: the brilliantly dark and dramatic Savages, playing from their awesome debut album 'Silence Yourself'.
