LONDON JAZZ FESTIVAL: Essentially Ellington

Prodigious Scottish tenorist and composer Tommy Smith leads the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra through Duke Ellington classics in the first set of this homage. Warm-toned ex-Loose Tubes tenorist Mark Lockheart takes the second set with his Ellington-inspired seven-piece. Expect radical and rich deconstructions of the likes of 'Satin Doll' and 'Mood Indigo', among others.
