Elbow (Sat 23rd), Paul Weller (Sun 24th) Jodrell Bank is home to the Lovell Telescope, the third largest steerable radio telescope in the world. It also plays host to this series of weekend summer shows –this year launched by Bury's unlikely stadium-fillers Elbow, whose warm, richly expressive, bear-hearted northern orchestral soul make for huge singalongs. The day after, mod renaissance man Weller gives it some welly, undoubtedly mining a great deal from recent album 'Sonik Kicks'.
