This heavyweight Canadian/UK/Italian/Swedish line up showcases a quartet of established and emerging jazz luminaries – not least the enduring capabilities of celebrated octogenarian trumpeter Wheeler, who still sounds wonderful at 81. Luminous ECM-piano icon Taylor is the linkman here between stunning vocal prowess of Torto and the highly melodic bass work of the much-revered Danielsson.
