John Etheridge And Zappatistas

Frank Zappa's legacy has been kicked around between political satire, rock, metal and avant jazz for a while, but here gets a respectful and inventive curatorial treatment by guitarist Etheridge, in a jazz-rock outfit which features trombonist Annie Whitehead and pianist Steve Lodder. Etheridge's bluesy, fast-fingered approach reflects his work with artists as diverse as Soft Machine, Pat Metheny, Stephane Grappelli and John Williams.
