Moray made his name (and changed it – he's actually called Doug Oates) as a young graduate by blending balladry and beats. He veered towards more traditional folk paths last year with his fifth album, 'Skulk' – though it does feature two modern covers alongside traditional material. Luckily, he's no longer the only member of the 'nu-folk' revolution – but that doesn't make him any less worth catching.
