Frank Carter’s diehard punk spirit made him the most famous ginger-haired, heavily tattooed lead singer on the scene. But he and his brother Steph have now both left Gallows, giving the band opportunity to start afresh with Wade MacNeil, formerly of Alexisonfire, on lead barking duties. On the strength of their self-titled album (recorded without Frank) the band’s incredible vitriol still flows as freely as sweat from a headbanger’s pores.
