Given the combination of the world-class German countertenor Andreas Scholl and the candlelit neo-Jacobean theatre at Shakespeare’s Globe, you will probably need to join the returns queue for this one. But it will be worth it to hear Scholl exploring the exquisite melancholy of lost love in songs by Dowland, Campion, Purcell and Byrd, interspersed with harpsichord solos by Tamar Halperin.
