Edge Of Sound: BBC Concert Orchestra/A Hawk And A Hacksaw

Jeremy Barnes, former drummer with Neutral Milk Hotel, and beguiling fiddler Heather Trost comprise engagingly eccentric avant-folk duo A Hawk And A Hacksaw. At this one-off Southbank Centre event they're collaborating with the BBC Concert Orchestra and cimbalom player Balázs Ungar to explore traditions of eastern European village folk music in the work of classical composers Béla Bartók and György Ligeti, as well as performing a new piece by singer-songwriter and composer Sasha Siem.
