Dido & Aeneas

Blackheath Halls is under renovation this summer, so its annual community opera is hitting Deptford's Albany Theatre. 'Dido & Aeneas' combines a core cast of professional singers with a chorus of over 80 local residents of all ages. German mezzosoprano Idunnu Münch and baritone Marcus Farnsworth will take the title roles, in an imaginative, high-quality take on Purcell's much-loved tragic opera.
