Deirdre Cartwright's Picnic + Yazz Ahmed Quartet

Eclectic jazz and fusion from the erstwhile 'Rockschool' guitarist and composer, here in Highlife African jazz mode alongside excellent trombonist Annie Whitehead and a fine rhythm section. Promising young trumpeter Ahmed supports with her fluid, open-toned sound as she explores her Arabic roots and love of boppish swing on songs from her debut album 'Finding My Way Home'.
