Dee Dee Bridgewater/BBC Big Band

Perhaps the last of the great jazz divas, Bridgewater's scat style is comparable to Ella Fitzgerald's while her ballads are akin to Sarah Vaughan's, while she's worked with the likes of Sonny Rollins, Roland Kirk, Max Roach among countless other greats. Closing her week-long residency tonight she's joined by the sumptuous sounds of the BBC Big Band who will help bring things to a barnstorming finish.
