Rare hook-up between revered folk, blues and jazz double bassist and former Pentangle man Thompson (who's proved indispensible to records by Nick Drake, Richard Thompson, John Lee Hooker, John Martyn, Cat Stevens, you name it…) and Nashville-based purveyor of old-time mountain music and infectious Appalachian-toned rock, Scott. The pair met 10 years ago and bonded, according to Thompson, on the very first hand shake.
