Damon Albarn, Tony Allen And Flea + Fatoumata Diawara + Hypnotic Brass Ensemble

Billed as 'Another Honest Jon's Chop-Up', this mixer for the Portobello record shop/label plays host to the debut of yet another Albarn side-project. Not that we're complaining, mind: supposedly based around Tony Allen's prestigious drumming, Flea and Damon should provide excellent foils for the Afro-beat legend, while adding Detroit tech god Parrish to the bill is a master stroke (check out his recent mix of Owiny Sigoma Band's 'Wires' to see why). Also get there in time for the excellent New Orleans-style brass covers by the HBE.
