Comhaltas National Folk Orchestra Of Ireland: Macalla 1916

The National Folk Orchestra of Ireland (comprising both traditional and classical musicians) makes its UK debut performing the premiere of ‘Macalla 1916’ by Irish composer Michael Rooney. The seven-movement suite, subtitled ‘An echo of the past – A vision of the future’, has been commissioned to mark the centenary of the Easter Rising.
