The City of London's annual festival of music and arts includes exhibitions, tours and family events, in addition to dozens of concerts at venues including St Paul's and Southwark cathedrals, many of which are free to attend. The theme for 2012's festival is 'City of London: Trading Places with the World. The line-up includes performances of new music and dance by Tansy Davies, Nigel Osborne, Nina Rajarani and others, London Symphony Orchestra performing Berlioz's 'Le Grande Mess des Morts' in St Paul's Cathedral, a celebration of City honey and the annual street pianos event, which invites members of the public to tinkle the ivories of 50 pianos placed around the Square Mile.
