Carles Benavent Quartet + Biel Ballester Trio

Brillant Spanish bass guitarist Benavent makes a rare UK appearance to perform his utterly compelling mix of fiery percussive flamenco and jazz, much influenced by his past collaborations with master guitarist Paco de Lucia, as much as it is by bass icon Jaco Pastorius. He creates an agile blend of complex flamenco rhythms and scorching jazz improv. Impressive gypsy jazz guitarist Ballester supports, both acts appear as part of the Miró & Catalan Culture Festival.
