CARAVAN - GYPSY FOLK: Priya Mitchell + Dhoad Gypsies Of Rajasthan

At this first concert in a wide-ranging chamber music series, during which violinist Mitchell will explore her Indian and Irish roots, she's joined by the Dhoad Gypsies Of Rajasthan. They hail from the wilds of India's Thar desert, land of the Maharajahs, and build richly swirling musical whirlwinds around epic tales of their forefathers. The concert also features gypsy-folk influenced work by Rachmaninov and Vivaldi.
