Headlining this fundraiser for Su Peru is steadily rising, young Bristolian songwriter Rowley, who (mercifully) is far removed from the Adele/Duffy hype and developed her fresh approach to singing via lessons with Carleen Anderson. She draws on folk, soul and blues to create an airy approach to standards (black spirituals, Dylan) and slightly jazzy, left-of- centre originals.
