He's a pianist, singer, lecturer, broadcaster, jazz writer, plumber and New Yorker – so Ben Sidran has inevitably picked up the 'renaissance man' tag too. Best known for his associations with Van Morrison, Mose Allison and Georgie Fame, he plays here from his fascinating recent project 'Don't Cry for No Hipster', featuring his son Leo on drums, bassist Billy Peterson and saxophonist Bob Rockwell.
