The groovesome Battles return (minus Tyondai Braxton) with their awesome math-metal cum motorik jazz cum proggish electronica, which is dependably gripping live, not least of for percussionist John Stanier's habit of half standing up to reach his hi-hat, thus addling a dramatic edge to an already compelling physical show. Expect to hear oldies and newies from current Warp album 'Gloss Drop'. Terrific all-gal Japanese outfit support with their waves of (chiefly) instrumental pulsations, which embrace everything from psychedelia to white noise, motorik drone and arty skronk.
