The South Carolina quintet, who formed from the ashes of decade-old outfit Carissa's Weird, deliver woodsy, dreamy and sadly beauteous epic songs, which favour the reverb-heavy vocals of Ben Bridwell and are clearly in thrall to My Morning Jacket, although no less affecting for that. In support, poppy sextet GA show off their Beach Boys- and Beatles-styled harmonies and Mojave 3 ply their reliably swoonsome, gently country rockin' fare.
