Agnes Obel

The Danish singer-songwriter supports her second album, 'Aventine', with a set of haunting, intricately harmonised, piano-led songs. As well as the stripped-back sound of just Obel and her piano, there's also a sly, folkish twang to some songs and a hint of Joanna Newsom's exploratory melodies in others.
