The daughter of Dame Cleo and the late great Sir John, Jacqui Dankworth is a fine, melismatic contemporary jazz singer in her own right, and here she joins another of Britain's finest jazz vocalists, producers and songsmiths, Ian Shaw. It's one part of an evening that also features jazz, gospel, blues and R&B singer Lillian Boutté, who was named 'New Orleans Musical Ambassador' in 1986 and was only the second jazz legend in the city's history to be accorded this honor – the first was Louis Armstrong.
