Hampton Pool Summer Picnic Concerts

Returning for its 11th year, this series is run by a not-for-profit organisation to raise money to keep the heated lido (built in 1922) running all year around. It may sound like a little parochial, but they've attracted a couple of big names from the '60s and '80s – as well as some tribute acts, playing alongside the veterans in a weird, vaguely postmodern way. Each concert starts at 7pm so there's time for a swim before the music.
