This splendid Georgian mansion was built in the 1670s to house the English Officers of Arms and their records, with its huge windows offer tantalising glimpses into the ancient and secretive art of the heralds, the people who design and protect coats of arms. Visitors can take a look around the grand entrance hall and see its splendid wood-carved throne.
