Museum Depot Open Weekend

The museum's depot is a fascinating working store containing some 370,000 items. Highlights include the vintage station signs, tube maps, clocks and posters, train carriages, buses, taxis, and, if you look carefully, the crumpled remains of an ill-fated spiral escalator. Family activities include craft workshops to build a model metropolis and storytelling sessions. Booking recommended.
