A retrospective of the British product designer Kenneth Grange, whose career spans some 60 years. Grange is responsible for designing products and appliances including The Kenwood Chef, razors for Wilkinson Sword, cigarette lighters for Ronson, irons for Morphy Richards and pens for Parker. In 1968, he designed the exterior and interior layout for the High Speed Intercity 125 train for British Rail. In 1972, together with Alan Fletcher, Theo Crosby, Colin Forbes and Mervyn Kurlansky, he established the multi-disciplinary design consultancy Pentagram.The show traces the designer's career, including his contribution to the Sports and Home pavilions for the 1951 Festival of Britain, and the interiors of the Kodak Pavilion at the 1958 Brussels World Fair. More recently, Grange has produced the re-design of the London black cab (1998) and Adshel bus shelters (1993). Today, he continues to work with British companies including Anglepoise, furniture designer Hitch Melius and fashion designer Margaret Howell.
