Time Out says

Lucian Freud's model Leigh Bowery was an iconic figure in 1980s club culture and founded the London night club, Taboo. Join DJ Jeffrey Hinton, artist Tim Redfern and invited friends as they explore the emergence of London's vibrant clubbing and fashion culture with the people who were part of the scene. Jeffrey Hinton will show a previously unseen personal archive of film footage and images, revealing how a group of friends became a family and generated a creative bubble that would have a lasting resonance on London's creative scene for decades. Invited friends include Boy George and choreographer Les Child who worked with Leigh Bowery and Michael Clark. 65 Warren Street was one of many squats in London during the early 1980s. The economic climate at the time helped bring such creative minds together, sparking some of the most seminal, creative collaborations and friendships. These relationships continue to influence London's club land, style and popular culture today. Residents from the squat will be joining the discussions on the night.
