Gay sex worker Michael Peacock won a notable victory last year when he was charged with obscenity for selling gay porno DVDs. The prosecution maintained that some things are legal for you to do at home, but illegal to watch on DVD. The jury disagreed. It had been very unusual for anyone to plead 'Not Guilty' to offences under the Obscene Publications Act. Michael could have gone to prison for five years . His acquittal has been hailed as "a victory for sexual freedom". Tonight he speaks at the quarterly meeting of CHE, the Campaign for Homosexual Equality. Light refreshments provided.
