This homely Marylebone cookery school is run by husband and wife team Giancarlo and Katie Caldesi, who also have restaurants in London and Berkshire. The menu is exclusively Italian, and you can be sure you'll be picking up the most traditional methods and techniques thanks to Giancarlo Caldesi's Tuscan roots. Courses range from fresh pasta and 30-minute dishes to Sicilian and Ligurian specialities. They're all hands-on and students will sit down to tuck in to the fruits of their labours with a glass of wine at the end of the session. Children's classes are available – one for ages 6-12 and one for 13-17s – but they presumably don't get the wine.
