The festive season sees the Museum of London Docklands transformed into a hub of family-friendly Christmassy fun this year. Highlights include a morning of detective work for little visitors who are tasked with exploring clues from the archaeological archive where they'll discover more about the food eaten by Londoners in times gone by (Dec 21), and candleholder making sessions where children age five and over can create their own from clay inspired by those in the museum's collection (Dec 21). Sumptuous scents will be wafting through the venue as Christmas day draws closer, with a session celebrating smells associated with the festive period such as cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves (Dec 22) and firework-themed craft sessions foliowing the day after (Dec 23).
The Museum of London are also running a Santa's Grotto
