Young adventurers are invited to celebrate National Play Day by getting their hands dirty building dens and creating a blazing bonfire to roast marshmallows and bonfire bread on, before settling down to watch Project Wild Thing, a film championing outdoor play in the city. Tickets include a drink, 'bangers and tats' meal and marshmallows, and all money raised goes directly to providing play opportunities for disabled children and young people at the Kids Adventure Play Hackney playground.
Families are welcome to explore the playground from 3pm, and the main event runs from 6pm to 9.30pm. The film is certified PG but all ages are welcome at the playground for activities running alongside the screening.
