To celebrate the reopening of its children's library as the Bibliothèque Quentin Blake, the Institut français is having an open day there. Events begin with a free screening of Eleanor's Secret (first come, first served) and there will be a goûter (mid afternoon snack, French-style) at 3.30pm, but there will be a series of short tours and creative sessions throughout the afternoon, all giving you plenty of time to admire Blake's brand-new mural.
There will also be taster sessions for a whole range of activities (including storytelling and digital workshops) across the week following (4pm 15-18 Sept). For these, book in advance by emailing library@institutfrancais.org.uk.
