A children's reading festival featuring local authors and poets, drama and art workshops, singing, dancing and storytelling. The day kicks off with Sarah Hadland, flatmate to Miranda in the BBC TV comedy, followed by the inimitable Benjamin Zephaniah. At lunchtime, author Dan Freedman presents football adventure tales, then Darren Shan shares Zom-B tales in the afternoon. Half Moon Theatre perform the poetry-based 'A Roo In My Suitcase' for under-eights and 'One Way Ticket' for older children. Other highlights include tuneful storytelling from US-import Mrs H and her Sing-Along Band, and the chance to get ilustration tips from David Mackintosh, author of the hilarious new book, 'Lucky.'
